Here we are again, already another post!
This post actually starts with the night before - packing all my stuff to stay the night with Alex. Watch a Romcom shed some tears and chat all night! We watched 'Angus thongs and perfect snogging'- what great movie and nearly ten years old which is ridiculous! To be healthy (because that is so us) we made ourselves a little fruit platter with watermelon, strawberries and mango with some dried cranberries and nuts on the side (yum - new found love for dried cranberries)
For my birthday Alex this year got us tickets to go to the Victoria and Albert the Balenciaga exhibition which was amazing. I didn't realise how influential he was in the fashion world. Everyone looked up to him and still does. He took so many Designer that we know today under his wing - he really was the pioneer. The downstairs of the exhibition was his work and what he did, however the upstairs was designs that had been inspired by his work ( which was/is basically everyone). The father of contemporary fashion.
Its often a tradition for us to go to the V&A and see a show followed by a lunch then a spot of shopping.
But hardly ever have we ventured on are own ( of course we've done many Reading trips) but boy were we ready for it. We got on at Henley bright and early in the morning and didn't arrive back until around 8 so it was long day :)
Let me say that we took full advantage of our travel card - but finally we ended up at High street Kensington in Whole foods - where we made our own salads ( they were so good - however mine was much heavier then Alex's: classic)
After the exhibition we hopped on the bus to Marble Arch and walked along Oxford street for like 4 hours going into so many shops. I went in saying to Alex that I didn't need an more tops but clearly I was wrong - I bought 5 (and a zoeva palette). Ill link all the items I bought below and my favourite item will be linked on the 'buy it' section of my blog.
